The driving days are long but comfortable. The real physical demand comes during the 3-day Kailash Parikrama, especially Day 10 which involves a 22 km trek with a steep ascent to Dolma La Pass at 5,630 m. Pilgrims who cannot trek can remain at Darchen and still receive darshan of Mount Kailash.
